Let's get some SHOES!

Since my bff has been in NYC with me, I've bought 4 pairs of shoes, and am in deep love with them all.

I got these at a vintage shop in the East Village for $65

I got these on sale at Topshop for $45!!!!

These were also on sale at Topshop for $35!! I like how you can criss-cross the straps

I've been looking for cool high tops...got these in Brooklyn for $45

Monique L'huillier

This is another fashion presentation/show I went to during Fashion Week Fall '09. Monique L'huillier is a genius---the most gorgeous dresses I have ever seen! I love the shredded pantyhose sleeves contrasted under beautifully created dresses.

Fall '09 Fashion Week: Rachel Roy

Outside the building where the show was shown

Love the mirror necklace

Love how there's feminine silhouettes like bustiers mixed with tailored menswear

Andre Leon Talley was there!!

Olivia Palermo from the City was also there, snuck a pic of her

My friend David, who interns with a stylist, had some "ins" for Fashion Week in February and brought me along. I WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZED. Rachel Roy's collection was absolutely stunning...such a great color palette!!

Anna with Sienna Miller (love her)

I am absolutely in love with/terrified of the most powerful and influential fashion icon out there now: Anna Wintour. I am reading this book called Anna Wintour: What Lies Beneath the Chic Exterior of Vogue's Editor In Chief, which portraits "a fashion-obsessed teenager in Swinging Sixties London who claws her way up the ivory tower in New York."
Not even finishing high school and donning a bob since her early teens, Anna Wintour has always had only one goal in mind: to be the Editor In Chief at Vogue. She's decisive, bitchy, smart, charming, fashionable, and competitive -- characteristics that helped her get to where she is today.

Fourth of July

I had a fun Independence Day! My friends and I decided to deck out in red, white, and blue, but each be a different decade. My friend Ellee was the 1920's (blue), Peyton was the 1960's, and I was the 1940's!

Hair on Broadway

I saw HAIR on Broadway the other day, and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! From the high energy of the actors to the bohemian/beatnik theme to the fabulous 70's style clothing....if you're ever in NYC i HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it. That time (late 60's during the Vietnam War) was so riveting including the style. After I got out, I immediately wanted to completely deck out in 70's garb, especially FRINGE. I've been on ebay every day looking for a fringe vest, but not just any fringe vest...an INTERESTING one...with no success yet, but still looking.

I loooooooove the guy on the far right's red orange fringe jacket.

I bought this psychedelic bandanna that they were selling at the merchandise table

I drew this face for my fashion drawing class that was inspired from 70's bandanna
